After a stunning career at the University of Oregon, the New York Liberty guard continues to crush records and impressions as a pro. Publicity for Ionescu’s card sale, along with her stats, further boosts visibility for women’s sports, particularly women’s basketball.
Women’s sports in general still work tirelessly to earn the respect they deserve, but the past few years have shown dramatic growth in fan interest, game attendance and marketing dollars. Publicity avenues may finally be jumping on board.
